The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 138 in Griswold.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.99-mile segment of Route 138 in Griswold. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Tuesday, June 1, 2021, through Friday, June 4, 2021. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, July 12, 2021, through Thursday, July 15, 2021.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 138 from Route 12 to the I-395 southbound access in Griswold. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
