Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 111 in Trumbull and Monroe

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 111 in Trumbull and Monroe.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.31 miles of Route 111 in Trumbull and Monroe. This project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, June 1, 2021 through Monday, June 14, 2021. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, through Saturday, June 5, 2021. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, June 6, 2021, through Monday, June 14, 2021.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 111 from .01 mile North of Route 25 (Main Street) to .12 mile North of Purdy Hill Road. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday night through Saturday morning).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
