Impact Attenuator Replacement on Route 2 Eastbound at Exit 5B in East Hartford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work to replace an impact attenuator will be performed on Route 2 eastbound at Exit 5B in East Hartford on Friday, March 26, 2021, to Monday, March 29, 2021.

Lane closure information:

  • Motorists can expect right lane closures on Route 2 eastbound in East Hartford between Exits 5A and 5B. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for upgrading this attenuator is 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
