Locally Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan (LOCHSTP)
LOCHSTP was developed in 2007 and updated in 2009 and 2021 through a process that included participation by seniors; individuals with disabilities; representatives of public, private, nonprofit transportation and human service providers; and other members of the public. Enhanced Mobility for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities (Federal Section 5310)
This program is intended to enhance mobility for seniors and person with disabilities by providing funds for programs to serve the special needs of transit-dependent populations beyond traditional public transportation services and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) complementary paratransit services.

Funds are available to any municipality and apportioned based on the formula in the Connecticut General Statutes (C.G.S.) 13b-38bb.
