Office of Education and Data Management Training for Design and Trades Professionals

Overview

In an effort to cultivate professional relationships between code officials and members of the design and construction industries, the Office of Education and Data Management provides non-code participants access to a variety of code training opportunities. There are no fees associated with these offerings. 

Career Development Training is a series of three-hour live seminars offered at different times and locations across the state.

Online Training is provided through partnerships with various associations, corporations and agencies.

Design and Trades Conference LogoThe Design and Trades Conference has been a success since its inception in 2001.  The event brings together building code enforcement officials with members of the allied trades and design professions in a full-day conference that promotes awareness, understanding and application of the state’s building codes.

 

Fact Sheets written by OEDM and the Office of the State Building Inspector are handouts on various topics that represent questions that Building Officials typically field from contractors and designers. The information in these materials is a reference only; those in the building industry should always consult the appropriate Connecticut State Building Code.
