Welcome to the webpage for State Project No. 0123-0069, Replacement of Bridge No. 04426 carrying Gager Hill Road over Merrick Brook in Scotland.
A virtual public informational meeting for the project will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.
This meeting is being held to provide the public and local community the opportunity to offer comments or ask questions regarding the proposed project. The meeting will take place on Zoom, and registration is required. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded.
The purpose of this project is to address the deterioration of bridge by designing a replacement structure that meets all current design standards.
Right-of-way impacts are associated with this project which will take place on private property and will consist of temporary construction easements for access, grading, and water handling, as well as a slope easement for safety and support of highway.
Construction is anticipated to begin in 2027. The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $2.7 million with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.

This meeting will also be livestreamed on the CTDOT YouTube channel; no registration is required. Non-English language closed captioning will be available on Zoom and YouTube. The recording will also be posted immediately following the meeting in the list of CTDOT virtual public meetings.
