Remote Supports

Remote Supports

Remote Supports can provide you with greater independence by using technology to connect you with staff or a caregiver who is not physically with you.  Remote Supports include a mix of technology and human support.  The technology uses two-way communication so that the staff or caregiver can check on you, and you can request assistance without the need for the staff or caregiver to be with you all the time.

How can I learn more and take the next step?

An individual or family member interested in learning more about taking the next step with remote supports should discuss with their Case Manager about how to use your DDS funding. If you do not have DDS funding and want to learn more, please contact the help line in your region. Any changes to your current supports will be made carefully in a person-centered manner, with team discussion, agreement and with a detailed transition plan.
