The foundation helps fund the wish list of the campers and passholders. From a sun shelter and outdoor classroom to all-terrain wheelchairs and camp vacations for those in financial need, the foundation strives to provide for the needs and special requests of the people who use the park. The Harkness Family believed in the healing power of fresh air, salt water and sunshine. The Camp Harkness Foundation works to further the Harkness Mission to provide an accessible natural environment that can be enjoyed by citizens of CT with disabilities. The Foundation accepts donations to help provide passholders and campers with enhanced outdoor experiences they will remember for a lifetime
