About the Meriden Family Respite Center
 
The Meriden Respite Center is conveniently located in central Connecticut within minutes of I-91, the Merritt Parkway and I-691.  As such, it’s easy to access cultural events in New Haven and Hartford, as well as shopping, Kid City Museum in Middletown, beautiful Hubbard Park in Meriden and a variety of other leisure options.  
 
The Meriden Respite Center, on the Meriden DDS campus, provides time limited respite for individuals supported by the Department.  The center is barrier-free and has three bedrooms to accommodate up to five individuals.  Two bedrooms are double rooms while the third is a single bedroom. There’s a large living room with an adjoining dining room and eat-in kitchen. The Center is a barrier-free ranch-style home with a large dining area, full kitchen, 4 bedrooms with one being a single room, a living room and a family room.

Meriden Respite Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is available for Individuals supported by DDS across the state.  There is access to 24-hour nursing on-site, with the ability to accommodate individuals with medical issues.
