Supporting Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health Needs
On June 14, Joan B. Beasley, Ph.D., LMHC presented on Mental Health Aspects of Mental Retardation: A Multi-Modal Approach. This presentation provided information on the essential elements to a multimodal approach to the assessment and treatment of complex behaviors.
Dr. Beasley also presented on Cross Systems Collaboration in Crisis Prevention and Intervention Planning to Assist Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health Needs. This presentation described the benefits and obstacles in cross-systems collaboration for crisis prevention and intervention planning, and the format and protocol used to assist multiple service providers in the development of an effective crisis prevention and intervention process.
