State of Connecticut and State Treasurer Wooden launch ABLE CT program for individuals living with disabilities

DDS is excited to announce that the state of Connecticut and State Treasurer Wooden is launching the Connecticut Achieving a Better Life Experience Savings Program (ABLE CT) for individuals living with disabilities.
The ABLE Act was signed into law by the federal government in 2014 to create tax-free savings accounts, and Connecticut has now joined a multi-state partnership to empower people living with disabilities. Residents of Connecticut can now enroll in the ABLE CT program, which offers a high-quality, low-cost ABLE CT savings and investment plan and a full checking account feature.
ABLE CT is a program designed to help families save for a better future without jeopardizing an individual’s federal benefits, such as SSI or Medicaid.
