The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is pleased to share an article entitled A Positive Behavior Approach for Aggression in Forensic Psychiatric Settings from the Journal of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. The article is co-written by Peter Tolisano, Psy.D., DDS Director of Psychological Services along with his colleagues from the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The article highlights the use of a positive behavior support model with an emphasis on non-medication approaches, ongoing case consultation, and the team process.
