Federal Administrator Addresses DDS and Partners on Community Living
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Sharon Lewis, Principal Deputy Administrator at the Administration of Community Living (ACL) recently presented to Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and its partners including consumers, family members and private providers at the Sheraton Rocky Hill. Connecticut is one of five states in the country to receive a five-year Community of Practice Grant which examines the process of improving supports to individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families across the span of their lifetime. The project is administered through a partnership between DDS and the CT Council on Developmental Disabilities. Ms. Sharon Lewis was the featured speaker at the event.
