United Way 2-1-1 Launches Online Re-Entry Directory of Services
United Way 2-1-1 has launched a new online search engine, the 2-1-1 Re-Entry Director of Services, to help those released from incarceration and those who work to support them, to find the local resources they need as they enter the community.
The 2-1-1 Re-Entry Directory of Services provides a quick way to find resources for:
• Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault/Suicide Prevention
• Food & Clothing
• Re-Entry Programs
• Job Finding Assistance
• Dental Care & Community Clinics
• Housing & Homeless Shelters
• Mental Health & Substance Abuse
• Driver Licenses & Records
• Support Groups
• Transportation
The database provides detailed information on all of the resources, as well as maps of each location. The database was developed by United Way 2-1-1 as part of the EPIC (Employment Practices Improvement Collaborative) project, a collaborative effort of the Department of Social Services' Bureau of Rehabilitative Services and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, contracted through Career Resources, Inc.
The database provides a simplified, focused version of the extensive 2-1-1 online resource database. Remember, dial 2-1-1 or visit www.211ct.org 24/7/365 for health and human services resources in your community!
