Team-Collaboration

Teamwork and Office 365

Every team is different; there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to collaboration. Office 365 is designed to meet the unique needs of every team, empowering people to communicate, collaborate, and achieve more with purpose-built, integrated applications.  Teams, as the hub for teamwork, is where people can actively connect and collaborate in real time to get things done. Have a conversation right where the work is happening, whether having a meeting, a Teams call, coauthoring a document, or working together in other apps and services. Teams is the place to have informal chats, iterate quickly on a project, work with team files, and collaborate on shared deliverables.  The initial focus will be on using Teams to modernize our meeting space, reducing the need to be in the same place to hold productive meetings, and increasing our ability to share information with a broad audience by using Teams meetings.

Use the links below to learn more about Teams.  DDS staff who want to request a Teams site for their workgroup or project team will complete and submit a Teams Site Request Form using the link below.  The request form must be reviewed and approved prior to IT creating a Teams site for your group.  The reviewers of the request may contact you for more information.  If denied, you will be notified and rationale will be provided. If approved,  you will be notified and the Owner and Members will be verified with you at that time.  Once setup, Teams site Owners can add or remove Members as needed. Please note that Teams sites are not required to schedule and conduct Teams meetings, or to use Teams for calls, video calls, chats, or to share docs.
