Food Recall Advisory

The State of CT Department of Public Health, Environmental Health Section announced on September 4, 2012 the following food recall:

Subject: Several voluntary recalls regarding mangoes have been announced by product distributors recently because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella. Mangoes have been implicated in a Salmonella Braenderup outbreak that is currently under investigation. Illnesses have been identified in 16 states but no cases have been confirmed in Connecticut to date.
