Food Recall Advisory Update August 10, 2011

The CT Department of Public Health – Environmental Health Section on 8/10/2011 announced and update on the Cargill Meat Solutions Corporation, a Springdale, Arkansas establishment, which recalled approximately 36 million pounds of ground turkey products which may have been contaminated with a multi-drug resistant strain of Salmonella Heidelberg. It was originally announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced on August 5, 2011.
