SAFETY ALERT
Dear Provider,
Kidde Brand 10 lb. Fire Extinguishers, manufactured between 1991-2000 have been recalled.
Stop using the product immediately. The nylon valves on these extinguishers can separate from the steel cylinder creating a safety hazard to fire extinguisher service personnel and consumers.
Attached documents include the Recall Alert from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission dated July 26, 2005 and an Informational Sheet from the DMR Southbury Training School Fire Department. Kidde has a replacement program for these fire extinguishers; information about getting a replacement can be found in either document.
