RE: PRODUCT ADVISORY: Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Warns of Potentially Hazardous Oil-Filled Space Heaters
Product Advisory
This Product Advisory issued May 28, 2008, by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is notifying consumers and retailers that oil-filled space heaters manufactured by the China Singfun Electric Group Co., Ltd. may pose a risk of fire.  These heaters do not comply with UL requirements and are not eligible to bear the UL Mark.

Hazard: The heaters may be filled with oil that has been found to be unsuitable for use in space heaters. The oil has a low flash point, which may pose a risk of fire.

Manufacturer: China Singfun Electric Group Co., Ltd.
Date of Manufacture: August 2001 to present.
Product Identification: The space heater has a label with an unauthorized UL Mark for the United States and Canada and the following information:

What You Should Do: UL recommends that users stop using these space heaters immediately and return them to the place of purchase.
