RE: Texas Firm Recalls Chicken Products Due to Undeclared Allergens


FOOD RECALL ADVISORY

This FOOD Recall Advisory is to advise that on, Nov. 26, 2008 - John Soules Foods, Inc., a Tyler, Texas, establishment, is recalled approximately 8,496 pounds of cooked chicken strip products. Some of these products were shipped to retail establishments in Connecticut.  The chicken products may contain an undeclared allergen, wheat, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced . Wheat is a known allergen, which is not declared on the label.

Please ensure those responsible for food shopping and preparation are aware of this safety alert. Also review your food stores to determine whether or not the identified products are present. If the identified products are present, address appropriately.
