Who can request family or medical (FML) leave?
To be eligible for Connecticut FML leave, an employee must have worked for the State for at least three months immediately preceding their first date of leave.
To be eligible for federal FMLA leave, an employee must meet both of the following requirements:
- Worked for the State of Connecticut for a total of at least 12 months.
- Worked at least 1,250 hours in the 12 months immediately preceding the beginning of the leave.
