39 Woodland Street, Hartford

The 39 Woodland Street property was once the Melancthon W. Jacobus Mansion, constructed in 1907 as a private residence for the Jacobus family. The family resided there until 1939 when the house was sold to the Hartford College of Insurance.

The University of Connecticut became the next owner, and the annex was constructed in 1952. The building was converted in 1995 to offices for the Connecticut State University System. Today it primarily houses the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System. It is approximately 32,833 sq. ft. on 2.53 acres.
