E-Mail Listserv
The Commission's statewide listserv serves subscribers in a number of ways:
- Offers a vendor-free, peer-to-peer network to share ideas and advice
- Announces statewide technology news (e.g., grants, events, etc.)
- Shares timely, relevant educational technology research
- Offers opinions on how the state and CET specifically can support educational technology causes in Connecticut
Members of the educational community may subscribe by sending a message to listserv@list.ct.gov and including the following in the message body:
- “subscribe CET_K-12_EDTECH (your first and last name)”
Unsubscribe at any time in the same manner, simply by sending an e-mail to listserv@list.ct.gov with the following text in the body:
- signoff CET_K-12_EDTECH
Feel free to post and share new topics, respond to threads, etc., but keep in mind that replies go to the entire subscriber list. If you want to respond only to the author of an e-mail and not the entire list of subscribers, forward the thread directly to him or her.
Searching the Listserv
In addition to its members, the Commission benefits from the insights of Advisory Council members who address the Commission’s three focus areas of Data and Privacy, Digital Learning, and Infrastructure. Ten Commission members and alternates as well as more than 30 subject matter experts from across the state serve on these Advisory Councils, representing a broad diversity of constituencies to help guide the Commission’s priorities and programs.
For current members of the listserv, you may search the archive of postings through simple email commands. Send your queries to listserv@list.ct.gov (NOT CET_K-12_EDTECH@list.ct.gov) with the following statement:
- Search KEYWORD in CET_K-12_EDTECH
Where “KEYWORD” is the term you wish to search, and “CET_K-12_EDTECH” is our listserv name. You can search for strings using single quotes (e.g., ‘Chromebook insurance’). See these instructions to conduct more advanced queries, such as narrowing by time, date, sender, etc.
