- Do I need a 1033 Consent Waiver (Felony)?
For any inquiries regarding 1033 consent waivers, email cid.licensing@ct.gov. Allow up to 5 business days for a response.

Connecticut does not require fingerprinting for most license types. The only license type that requires fingerprinting is Surety Bail Bonds.

Connecticut does not pre-review criminal records before application submission.
Applicants with a criminal record are evaluated after submitting a complete application, including required fees, passing exam scores (for residents), and relevant court documents. Evaluation factors include:
- The time elapsed since the offense
- The seriousness of the offense
- Frequency of offenses
- Completion of sentencing requirements
- Evidence of rehabilitation
- How can I obtain an enforcement action or stipulation?
Enforcement actions and stipulations can be accessed through the SBS License Lookup tool.
If the document(s) is not available on SBS, send an email to Investigations at: cid.inv@ct.gov with the subject line including the Licensee or Applicant’s Name, NPN, and Transaction Number (if applicable).
