  1. How can I view my company appointments?

You can view your company appointments through SBS or NIPR.
    • Go to SBS.
    • Select "Look Up."
    • Enter your search criteria.
    • Locate and view your appointments.

  2. How do we terminate a licensee's appointment with our company?

Go to NIPR directly to process any appointment terminations: https://nipr.com/Processing/Appointments/Terminations. If you have any other questions or issues, you can contact NIPR at customerservice@nipr.com.

  3. I need to have my company appointments terminated. Can you do that?

All appointments must be added and deleted by the insurance company, as they pay for the appointments. You will need to contact your company directly to handle appointment terminations.

  4. If I lose my last appointment, will my license be canceled?

No, the termination of your final appointment does not automatically cancel your license. However, you cannot act as an agent of the insurer until you are appointed by another insurer.

  5. Should we be receiving quarterly invoices for company appointments?

No. Connecticut no longer sends quarterly invoices to insurers. Since January 10, 2019, NIPR collects appointment fees on behalf of the State of Connecticut bi-annually in even-numbered years. Fees are due upon submission.

  6. If an agent holds both the PA 187 Travel license and an Insurance Producer license with the Travel LOA, do both licenses need to have an appointment? Can these both be submitted via NIPR?

Yes. Both license types require separate appointments, and both can be submitted via NIPR.
