Leeann Rheaume, Psy.D.

Supervising Psychologist 1

Leeann Rheaume, Psy.D. joined the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) in April 2020 as a Supervising Psychologist 1 in the Private Division of the North Region. Dr. Rheaume provides clinical supervision of clinical staff, provides consultation to hospitals and private agencies, and assigns redeterminations and guardianship evaluations. 
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Trinity College. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Clinical Psychology from Teacher’s College, Columbia University. Dr. Rheaume earned a Doctorate from the University of Hartford, Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology in 2009. She completed her internships at The Village for Families and Children in Hartford, CT with a specialty focus on conducting Juvenile Justice Intermediary Evaluations. Dr. Rheaume was subsequently employed at Natchaug Hospital conducting psychological evaluations and risk assessments on the child, adolescent, and adult inpatient units, outpatient treatment programs, as well as day and public schools. She provided supervision to doctoral students and staff in the psychology department, and later served as the interim director of psychology. On her career trajectory prior to DDS, Dr. Rheaume joined the Department of Children and Families in September 2012 at the Albert J. Solnit Children’s Center, South Campus providing individual, group therapy, and family therapy, psychological evaluations, and fire setting risk assessments with children and adolescents.
