Questions Your Child Will Want You to Ask:
Can I afford to pay my living expenses?  If not, where can I get assistance or make more money?  Does my income from employment or other sources exceed limits for benefits?  How I received benefits counseling?  How much can I afford to spend on social and recreational activities?  Would a limited joint bank account, automatic bill pay or debit card help me with managing my money?  Do I have a special needs trust in place for “extras” that benefits don’t cover?  Do you know where to go to create a special needs trust?  Do you have to put money in the trust right away?  Do you also need a living trust or will for yourself?
