The State's Attorneys serve as the chief prosecutors for their respective 13 judicial districts across the State of Connecticut.

The Ansonia-Milford Judicial District serves nine towns with about 230,000 residents in the southern part of Connecticut. The State's Attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal offenses which occur in the Judicial District, which includes the communities of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Milford, Orange, Oxford, Seymour, Shelton and West Haven.

The Bridgeport Judicial District serves eight towns with about 325,000 residents in the southeastern part of Connecticut. The State's Attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal offenses which occur in the Judicial District, which includes the communities of Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Stratford and Trumbull.

The Danbury Judicial District serves eight towns with about 200,000 residents in the western part of Connecticut. The Danbury State's Attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal offenses which occur in the Judicial District, which includes the communities of Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield and Sherman.

The Hartford Judicial District serves 19 towns and cities with about 590,000 residents. The State's Attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal offenses which occur in the Judicial District, which includes the communities of Hartford, West Hartford, Bloomfield, East Hartford, Windsor, Enfield, Simsbury, Avon, Suffield, Glastonbury, Marlborough, Manchester, East Windsor, Granby, South Windsor, Windsor Locks, Farmington, East Granby and Canton.

The Litchfield Judicial District serves 24 towns with about 140,000 residents in the northeastern part of Connecticut. The State's Attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal offenses which occur in the Judicial District, which includes the communities of Barkhamsted, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Canaan, Colebrook, Cornwall, Goshen, Hartland, Kent, Litchfield, Morris, New Hartford, New Milford, Harwinton, Norfolk, North Canaan, Roxbury, Salisbury, Sharon, Thomaston, Torrington, Warren, Washington and Winchester.

The Middlesex Judicial District serves 15 municipalities with about 165,000 residents in south-central Connecticut. The State’s Attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal offenses which occur in the Judicial District, which includes the communities of Chester, Clinton, Cromwell, Deep River, Durham, East Haddam, East Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Middlefield, Middletown, Old Saybrook, Portland and Westbrook.

The New Britain Judicial District serves 10 municipalities with about 315,000 residents in central Connecticut. The New Britain State’s Attorney’s Office is on the first floor of the New Britain Superior Court, which is located at 20 Franklin Square, New Britain, CT 06051. The New Britain State’s Attorney’s Office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal and motor vehicle offenses which occur in the communities of Berlin, Bristol, Burlington, New Britain, Newington, Plainville, Plymouth, Rocky Hill, Southington, Wethersfield and Central Connecticut State University.

The New Haven Judicial District serves 13 municipalities with about 470,000 residents in the southern part of Connecticut. The New Haven State's Attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal offenses which occur in the Judicial District, which includes the communities of Branford, Bethany, Cheshire, East Haven, Guilford, Hamden, Madison, Meriden, New Haven, North Branford, North Haven, Wallingford and Woodbridge.

The New London Judicial District serves 21 towns with about 265,000 residents in the southeastern part of Connecticut. The State's Attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal offenses which occur in the Judicial District, which includes the communities of Bozrah, Colchester, East Lyme, Franklin, Griswold, Groton, Lebanon, Lisbon, Ledyard, Lyme, North Stonington, Norwich, Old Lyme, Preston, Sprague, New London, Montville, Salem, Stonington, Voluntown and Waterford.

The Stamford/Norwalk Judicial District serves eight municipalities with about 380,000 residents in the southern part of Connecticut. The State's Attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal offenses which occur in the Judicial District, which includes the communities of Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Weston, Westport and Wilton.

The Tolland Judicial District serves 13 towns with about 150,000 residents in the east-central part of Connecticut. The State's Attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal offenses which occur in the Judicial District, which includes the communities of Andover, Bolton, Columbia, Coventry, Ellington, Hebron, Mansfield, Stafford, Somers, Tolland, Union, Vernon and Willington.

The Waterbury Judicial District serves 8 municipalities with about 225,000 residents in the west-central part of Connecticut. The State's Attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal offenses which occur in the Judicial District, which includes the communities of Middlebury, Naugatuck, Prospect, Southbury, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott and Woodbury.

The Windham Judicial District serves 15 towns with about 117,000 residents in the northeastern part of Connecticut. The State's Attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal offenses which occur in the Judicial District, which includes the communities of Ashford, Brooklyn, Canterbury, Chaplin, Eastford, Hampton, Killingly, Plainfield, Pomfret, Putnam, Scotland, Sterling, Thompson, Windham and Woodstock.
