Welcome to the Office of the State's Attorney for the Judicial District of New London.

The New London Judicial District serves 21 towns with about 265,000 residents in the southeastern part of Connecticut. The State's Attorney's office is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal offenses which occur in the Judicial District, which includes the communities of Bozrah, Colchester, East Lyme, Franklin, Griswold, Groton, Lebanon, Lisbon, Ledyard, Lyme, North Stonington, Norwich, Old Lyme, Preston, Sprague, New London, Montville, Salem, Stonington, Voluntown and Waterford.

The Office of the State's Attorney for the Judicial District of New London office located at New London Superior Court prosecutes the more serious cases, mostly those crimes classified under state law as class A or class B felony offenses, from all communities in the Judicial District.

The Geographical Area offices, located at the "Part B" Superior Courts in New London and Norwich, primarily prosecute cases involving crimes classified under state law as class C, class D or class E felony offenses as well as all misdemeanor offenses and infractions, including motor vehicle offenses.

The State’s Attorney in New London oversees employees at the Judicial District courthouse in New London, Geographical Area courts in New London and Norwich and Juvenile Matters in Waterford.
Born and raised in New London, State’s Attorney Narducci attended local public and parochial grammar and junior high schools and graduated from St. Bernard High School in Montville.

State’s Attorney Narducci earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1983, and his Juris Doctor Degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston in 1986 where he graduated cum laude and was Literary Editor of the Suffolk University Law Review.

State’s Attorney Narducci worked as a clerk for Associate Justices Angelo Santaniello and Robert Glass of the Connecticut Supreme Court from 1986 until 1987 when he joined the law firm of Danaher, Tedford, Lagnese & Neal as an associate attorney.

State’s Attorney Narducci joined the Division of Criminal Justice in 1993 working for both Geographical Area Courts in the Windham and Tolland Judicial Districts. He transferred to the Geographical Area Court in New London in 1994. Since August 2019, he had served as the Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of New London until his appointment to State’s Attorney in January 2021.

Throughout his career, State’s Attorney Narducci has handled a number of serious felony cases through trial, including murders, home invasions, robberies and narcotic-related trafficking offenses. He also worked on a number of habeas corpus petitions and cases involving serious juvenile and youthful offenders as part of a federally funded grant.

State’s Attorney Narducci has argued about 25 cases before the Appellate Court of Connecticut and appeared before the state Supreme Court twice. In 2006, he was cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney and has been involved in a number of criminal investigations arising in southeastern Connecticut involving federal, state and local law enforcement, and has participated in grand jury proceedings and federal criminal trials.

Since 2001, State’s Attorney Narducci has been a Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified instructor and has taught Affidavit Preparation, Report Writing and Trial Preparation to local law enforcement officers. For the past five years, he has been an instructor/adjunct professor at UConn School of Law in the Prosecutor Extern field placement program.
