Reminder: All Insurers to Submit Annual Data Certification
by September 1st on The Use of
Big Data to Avoid Discriminatory Practices

 

Connecticut Insurance Department Commissioner Andrew N. Mais issued a formal notice dated April 20, 2022 to all insurers and persons licensed by the Department that their use of technology and Big Data must be in full compliance with Federal and State anti-discrimination laws, and that they are required to submit an annual data certification on a yearly basis, starting from September 1st, 2022.

This notice serves as a reminder to all entities and persons licensed by the Department that the data certification is due on or before September 1st. The annual certification form can be accessed here https://portal.ct.gov/-/media/CID/1_Notices/Technologie-and-Big-Data-Use-Notice.pdf
