NOTICE:

Beginning August 4th, the Department of Social Services has partnered with the state’s Community Action Agencies (CAA) to distribute the one-time $300 grocery card to those who have lost their SNAP benefits due to federal work rules eligibility changes. Individuals who have lost their SNAP benefits because of these changes should reach out directly to their local CAA. More information about the changes can be found here. Changes to SNAP and HUSKY Health work rules can be hard to understand. But many people will not lose their benefits. Will S-EBT Affect My Children's Ability To Receive Meals At School?

You will not need to apply for free or reduced-priced meals in the fall if you were approved for S-EBT and your application included:

the last 4 digits of the Head of Household SSN

or

the Head of Household checked the box that they do not have a SSN.

These children will be automatically certified with their school for free or reduced-priced meals.

You will need to apply for free or reduced-priced meals in the fall if:

the S-EBT application was denied

or

the Head of Household did not give their SSN

and

the Head of Household did not check the box that they do not have a SSN.
