The Connecticut Insurance Department (CID) has received rate filings from seven health insurers for plans to be offered in the individual and small group markets, both on and off the state-sponsored exchange, Access Health CT. As part of CID’s statutory responsibilities, the Department will conduct a thorough and careful review of each filing to ensure compliance with Connecticut insurance laws and regulations.

The Department’s review process will examine each submission in detail, requiring insurers to provide justifications and supporting evidence for their requested rates. These comprehensive reviews reflect the Department’s commitment to transparency and accountability. All filings will be available for public review on the Department’s website.

The 30-day public comment period for all filings starts today, June 6. The public can share comments online or submit them by mail to the Connecticut Insurance Department at P.O. Box 816, Hartford, CT 06142-0816.

The Department will hold a public informational session on the requested rate filings in August. The public will be able to speak at that hearing. The date and time will be announced once finalized.

Open enrollment for the 2026 coverage year begins November 1, 2025.
