INSURANCE COMMISSIONER REMINDS CONSUMERS OPEN ENROLLMENT
DEADLINE FOR 2024 HEALTH PLAN COVERAGE IS JANUARY 15

(Hartford, CT) – With the deadline for the Open Enrollment Period for health and dental insurance coverage coming up on Monday, January 15, Connecticut Insurance Department Commissioner, Andrew N. Mais, reminds consumers to explore and research their coverage options.

Commissioner Mais stresses the urgency of making informed decisions as the January 15th deadline for Open Enrollment approaches. "Now is the crucial moment to secure health insurance for yourself and your loved ones," Commissioner Mais said. "Evaluate the health coverage that best suits your needs, explore the available options, and thoroughly understand the details, including premiums, out-of-pocket costs, and the protections provided by Connecticut and federal laws, before making your selection."

If you need help navigating health insurance options, certified brokers and enrollment specialists are available in your community. Access Health CT (AHCT) is organizing enrollment fairs and collaborating with Navigator partner locations throughout the state to offer expert assistance from enrollment specialists.

• Milford: Saturday, Jan. 13 at Jonathan Law High School, located at 20 Lansdale Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Register here.
• Hartford: Sunday, Jan. 14 at The Hector J. Figueroa 32BJ Labor Center, located at 885 Wethersfield Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Register here.

• Open Enrollment: November 1, 2023, to January 15, 2024.
• Enroll by December 15, 2023: Coverage begins on January 1, 2024.
• Enroll between December 16, 2023, and January 15, 2024: Coverage begins on February 1, 2024.
