Educational Outreach & Financial Literacy Services

The CID’s Consumer Affairs team provides free educational outreach and financial literacy classes. Our services can provide ideal programming for community groups, senior centers, youth organizations, schools and more. Our goal is to empower residents with the knowledge they need to make informed insurance decisions, understand their rights, and access the tools and resources available to them.

Outreach event

Outreach – Request a Speaker

Each session includes a brief presentation (about 20 minutes), followed by a Q&A with one of our knowledgeable staff members. Topics can include health insurance, auto and homeowners' coverage, avoiding scams and fraud, how to file a complaint, and more.

Financial Literacy for Students

Our classroom programs for high school students provide foundational knowledge for all types of insurance and teach the financial importance of understanding risk and protecting against losses.
