Access Health CT Announces 2027 Open Enrollment Period

The Connecticut Insurance Department (CID) reminds Connecticut residents that the 2027 Open Enrollment Period for health and dental plans through Access Health CT (AHCT) will run from October 23, 2026, through December 23, 2026.

Open Enrollment is the time for individuals and families to review their health insurance options, compare plans, and enroll in or renew coverage for 2027.

Consumers who enroll by December 15, 2026, will receive coverage beginning January 1, 2027. Those who enroll between December 16 and December 23, 2026, will have coverage beginning February 1, 2027.

It is the only place where residents can apply for financial help to lower the cost of health coverage, and some individuals may also qualify for the Covered CT Program, which provides no cost insurance for eligible residents.

Consumers are encouraged to review their options early and seek assistance if needed. Free enrollment help is available through Access Health CT, including online tools, in person assistance at Navigator locations, one on one support from the Mobile Enrollment Team, certified brokers, and multilingual call center and live chat support.
