The State Agency must consider applications for authorization at least once every 3 years. The next enrollment period starts January 1, 2017 and runs through January 31, 2017. This is for an authorization period from May 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018. The State Agency will consider applications outside the specific enrollment period only if there is inadequate participant access. Refer to the Open Enrollment page for additional information.
For multiple stores under the same ownership, you may be able to apply anytime. Contact the WIC Vendor Management Unit at 1-800-741-2142 or (860) 509-8084. You can also send an email to email@example.com.
Note: WIC Vendor authorization cannot be transferred from one owner to another. A new application must be submitted.
Any store interested in becoming an authorized WIC Vendor must apply during an enrollment period. Only vendors that are authorized as WIC Vendors by the State of Connecticut WIC Program may redeem Connecticut WIC benefits.
