EMS Instructor Renewal of Certification

An EMS Instructor Renewal applicant must meet the following requirements:

Accrue 50 contact hours, to include:

35 hours of teaching in OEMS approved courses, over at least 5 categories
5 hours of attending OEMS approved continuing education for the EMSI
10 hours of EITHER teaching or attending the above

Documentation Requirements:

A completed renewal online application on the Connecticut eLicense website for EMS instructor renewal.
Renewal applicants are no longer required to submit documentation of teaching hours or CEU. Maintain these records for inspection at the request of DPH.
