The CT Workers’ Compensation Commission’s (WCC) primary job is to resolve disputes. Please note, WCC can’t give legal advice or pay benefits. The WCC doesn’t provide or authorize medical treatment. If benefits are delayed or denied, you can request a hearing with a WCC administrative law judge.
Contact the appropriate team for help.
District offices
WCC district offices help workers and employers solve their workers' compensation disputes. Please note that we can’t and don’t give legal advice. Learn about other agencies that can help. Administrative law judges and their staff resolve disputes in Informal Hearings, Pre-Formal Hearings, and Formal Hearings.
When workers and employers can’t agree, administrative law judges make decisions based on the hearings and evidence.
The offices also maintain case records and other types of workers' compensation-related documentation. Each district handles workers’ compensation cases and injuries in its area.
