I have a page that is locked by another. I've been asked as the admin to unlock it for someone else to work on. I do not see the unlock option to the left of the file name in the tree view.
Answer: From the Content Editor Content Tree, right-click to the far left of the screen, to the left of the grey line. A drop-down option appears. Select "locked-items" and “my locked-items”to add a check mark next to it. The lock icons should now appear next to any locked items listed.
You can also unlock a page by selecting "check in" from the "edit" dropdown. -
Someone has a lock on a page and I can't find how to unlock it.
Answer:
For Content Authors, if you did not lock the page, you will need to contact the individual who locked the pages or your System Administrator to request the page be unlocked.
For System Administrators, you can unlock an item by selecting the "Edit" button from the Home tab and then selecting "Check In". You can also unlock a page from the Review tab and selecting "Check In".
