Insert a Hyperlink

Insert an Internal Sitecore Hyperlink

When you want to create a link that goes to another page within your Agency website or another Agency within Sitecore, use the Internal Sitecore Link.

  • You can hyperlink to any page, dynamic list, topic, or file that exists within Sitecore.
  • If the page you have linked to is moved or renamed, your hyperlink will still work.
  • If the page you have linked to is deleted, the author deleting the page can direct any links coming to that page to another page or remove your hyperlink from the page. This keeps the website from having bad links (404 page not found errors).

Inserting an internal Sitecore hyperlink can be done in two ways:

Note: If the page you are editing is Checked in and Unlocked, select the Lock and Edit link to check it out and edit the page.
