Insert an Email Hyperlink

An Email Hyperlink is an email address that when clicked, will launch the visitor's mail client ready to send an email to that email address. Creating an email hyperlink is done through the Rich Text Editor.

Note: If the page you are editing is Checked in and Unlocked, select the Lock and Edit link to check it out and edit the page.

Adding an Email Hyperlink
  1. Click your mouse around the email you want hyperlinked. A toolbox will appear with icons to choose from.
  2. Select the Editor icon Rich Text Editor icon. The Rich Text Editor box will appear.
  3. Highlight the email address you want to hyperlink.
  4. Click the Hyperlink Manager icon Hyperlink Manager icon. The Insert Link box will appear displaying the Hyperlink tab.
  5. Select the Email tab.

  6. Address - Enter the email address
  7. Link Text - Auto Populated
  8. Subject - Enter in text that would be added to the subject line in the email
  9. Leave other fields blank.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click the Accept button at the bottom right of the Rich Text Editor box.
  12. Save Save icon your changes.


To change the email link, follow the same steps.

 

Deleting an Email Hyperlink

To delete the email link, follow these steps.

  1. Place your mouse in the area around the hyperlinked text. A toolbox will appear with icons to choose from.
  2. Select the Editor icon Rich Text Editor icon. The Rich Text Editor box will appear.
  3. Highlight the hyperlinked email address you want to remove the link from.
  4. Click the Remove Link icon Remove Link icon and the anchor link will be removed from the text.
  5. Click the Accept button at the bottom right of the Rich Text Editor box.
  6. Save Save icon your changes.
