Add an email hyperlink

An email hyperlink is a clickable link that allows visitors to easily send an email to a specified address. This is a type of inline link, and it’s created using the Rich Text Editor.

Note: If the page you are editing is Checked in and unlocked, select the Lock and Edit link to check it out and edit the page.

Add or change an email hyperlink
  1. Click your mouse around the email you want hyperlinked. A toolbox appears with icons to choose from.
  2. Select the Editor icon Rich Text Editor icon. The Rich Text Editor box will appear.
  3. Highlight the email address you want to hyperlink.
  4. Click the Hyperlink Manager icon Hyperlink Manager icon. The Insert Link box will appear displaying the Hyperlink tab.
  5. Select the Email tab.


  6. Address - Enter the email address.
  7. Link Text - This automatically uses the text you highlighted.
  8. Subject - Enter in text that would be added to the subject line in the email.
  9. Leave other fields blank.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click the Accept button at the bottom right of the Rich Text Editor box.
  12. Save Save icon your changes.

To change the email link, follow the same steps.

Delete an email hyperlink

To delete the email link, follow these steps.

  1. Place your mouse in the area around the hyperlinked text. A toolbox will appear with icons to choose from.
  2. Select the Editor icon Rich Text Editor icon. The Rich Text Editor box will appear.
  3. Highlight the email address you want to remove the link from.
  4. Click the Remove Link icon Remove Link icon and the link will be removed from the text.
  5. Click the Accept button at the bottom right of the Rich Text Editor box.
  6. Save Save icon your changes.
