• 3/21/2021 Scheduled 7-Month Closure of Exit 40 On-Ramp to I-84 Westbound at Ridgewood Road in West Hartford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure of the Exit 40 on-ramp to I-84 westbound at Ridgewood Road in West Hartford beginning on April 5, 2021. The closure is expected to last for approximately 7 months, reopening on or before October 4, 2021.

• 3/18/2021 Scheduled Closure and Detour of Route 156 over the Niantic River in East Lyme and Waterford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure and detour of Route 156 over the Niantic River in East Lyme and Waterford beginning March 25, 2021, at 8 AM, and reopening Saturday night, March 27, 2021, by 11:59 PM. The closure is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction activities, including the rehabilitation of bridge mechanical components.

• 3/16/2021 Replacement of Bridge 02967 Carrying Route 49 over Wyassup Brook in North Stonington

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction activities for the replacement of Bridge 02967 Carrying Route 49 over Wyassup Brook in North Stonington. Initial activities will involve utility work beginning on March 22, 2020.

• 3/16/2021 Rehabilitation of Bridge 0952 Carrying I-95 over Lake Saltonstall in East Haven

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction activities for the rehabilitation of Bridge 0952 carrying I-95 over Lake Saltonstall in East Haven beginning on April 1, 2021.

• 3/15/2021 Rehabilitation of Bridges 06884 and 06885 Carrying Interstate 384 over Porter Brook in Manchester and Bolton

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activities for the rehabilitation of Bridges 06884 and 06885 carrying Interstate 384 over Porter Brook in Manchester and Bolton will begin on or about March 22, 2021.

• 3/15/2021 Replacement and Upgrade of Coordinated Traffic Signal System (CTSS) Equipment in Newington, New Britain, and Wethersfield

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that preliminary work, including lane closures for the replacement and upgrade of Coordinated Traffic Control System (CTSS) equipment in Newington, New Britain and Wethersfield, is scheduled to begin on or about April 1, 2021.

• 3/15/2021 Rehabilitation of South State Street Bridge over Rippowam River in Stamford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of work activity for the rehabilitation of the South State Street (Route 790) bridge over the Rippowam River in Stamford.

• 3/10/2021 Metal Beam Guide Rail Upgrade Project on Route 39 in Sherman

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a metal beam guide rail upgrade project will be performed on Route 39 in Sherman. The project consists of upgrading existing wood pole guide rail systems to current standard systems on Route 39 at various intersections between Route 37 and the New Fairfield town line. Work is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, March 22, 2021, and continue through Friday, May 14, 2021.

• 3/9/2021 Replacement of Bridge 06695 Carrying Route 123 (Smith Ridge Road) over Rose Brook in New Canaan – Detour Tentatively Scheduled

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled commencement of work activities on March 23, 2021, and a scheduled 21-day detour of Route 123 beginning on April 12, 2021, for the project to replace Bridge 06695 carrying Route 123 (Smith Ridge Road) over Rose Brook in New Canaan. The project is located about 1.1 miles north of the intersection of Route 123 (Smith Ridge Road) and Route 106 (Silvermine Road).

• 3/9/2021 Mechanical Repairs on Route 130 Bridge (Stratford Avenue, Yellow Mill Drawbridge) in Bridgeport

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 130 (Stratford Avenue, Yellow Mill Drawbridge) in Bridgeport on Thursday, March 11, 2021. The project consists of mechanical repairs with work occurring between 9 AM and 3 PM.

• 3/8/2021 Scheduled Closure of I-84 Eastbound Exit 21 Off-Ramp in Waterbury

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure of the I-84 eastbound Exit 21 off-ramp in Waterbury, beginning on March 14, 2021. The closure is necessary to facilitate construction activities associated with the ongoing project to rehabilitate the Mixmaster in Waterbury.

• 3/4/2021 Start of Work for the Rehabilitation of Bridge 01708 and Bridge 03374 Carrying Route 2 over West Road in Marlborough

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction activities for the rehabilitation of Bridge 01708 and Bridge 03374 carrying Route 2 over West Road in Marlborough beginning on March 15, 2021.

• 3/3/2021 Virtual Public Information Meeting Concerning the Proposed Rehabilitation of Bridge 06574 Carrying Route 159 (Palisado Avenue) over Mill Brook in Windsor

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Department) will conduct a virtual public information meeting concerning the proposed rehabilitation of Bridge 06574, which carries Route 159 (Palisado Avenue) over Mill Brook, on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be live streamed via Microsoft Teams Live Event and YouTube Live. A Question and Answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation. The presentation will be recorded.   The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure and detour of Bucks Hill Road over I-84 in Southbury to facilitate ongoing construction activities associated with the replacement of Bridge 01157 carrying Bucks Hill Road over I-84. The road closure and detour are scheduled to commence on Monday, March 22, 2021, at 7:00 AM, and will remain in place until Monday, November 22, 2021, at 7 AM.
