Scheduled Ramp Closures for Exit 31 from Route 8 Northbound to I-84 Eastbound, and Highland Avenue On-Ramp to I-84 Eastbound
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closures of both the Exit 31 off-ramp from Route 8 northbound to I-84 eastbound, as well as the Highland Avenue on-ramp to I-84 eastbound, beginning on February 28, 2021. The closures will remain in place until August 1, 2021, and are necessary to facilitate ongoing construction activities associated with the Route 8/I-84 Interchange (Mixmaster) rehabilitation project in Waterbury.
Detour Information:
- Exit 31 off-ramp detour: Motorists are advised to follow Route 8 northbound to the U-turn (Exit 35) and follow back onto Route 8 southbound.
- Highland Avenue on-ramp detour: Motorists are advised to take a right onto Chase Parkway and follow to I-84 eastbound on-ramp.
