This proposal also creates the regulatory infrastructure necessary to achieve Agreement State status with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and adopts civil penalties for violations related to sources of ionizing radiation. A public hearing will be held on January 17, 2024. Written comments are due no later than 5pm on January 29, 2024, a second extension of the original comment deadline of January 19, 2024.
