Service of Process Update - 2020 Holiday Schedule

NOTICE: Service of Process Update - 2020 Holiday Schedule.

For the weeks of December 20 and 27, the Department will accept service of process from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Mondays and Tuesdays. There will be no service of process acceptance on Thursday 12/24 or Thursday 12/31. Following these 2 weeks the schedule will go back to Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning January 5, 2021.

In light of Governor Lamont’s Executive Order No. 7G concerning, among other things, the suspension of non-critical court operations and associated requirements, including “time requirements, statutes of limitation or other limitations or deadlines relating to service of process, court proceedings or court filings,” and the need to protect both our employees and the public while operating with reduced staff on-site, effective Monday, March 23, 2020, until further notice, service of process on the Insurance Commissioner may be made only during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the 7th Floor of the offices of the Connecticut Insurance Department.
