NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT FOR PROPOSED INSURANCE DEPARTMENT BULLETIN
CONCERNING GUIDANCE FOR CONNECTICUT DOMESTIC INSURERS ON MANAGING
THE FINANCIAL RISKS FOR CLIMATE CHANGE

The Connecticut Insurance Department (“Department”) announces a thirty (30) day period of public comment regarding a proposed Department issued bulletin. This proposed bulletin concerns guidance from the Department for Connecticut domestic insurers on managing the financial risks for climate change which will be applicable to all domestic insurance companies, domestic health care centers, and domestic fraternal benefit societies authorized to do business in the state of Connecticut. The proposed bulletin can be found here.

The deadline for submission of public comments is May 23, 2022.

Following this deadline, the Department will publish all comments properly received.

All comments properly submitted will be reviewed and taken by the Department under advisement as Department staff draft a final bulletin on this matter. It is the intention of the Department to have a final bulletin issued at the earliest possible date.
