The Experience Editor is a user-friendly, visual editing tool in Sitecore that lets you update content directly on the page as it appears to visitors.
Using the Experience Editor, you can edit existing content, adjust page layouts, and add or arrange components (created in the Content Editor) — all in a visual, on-page environment that simplifies content and layout management.
The Experience Editor is divided into two main areas:

Key areas you will typically be able to edit include:
- Alert Bar Notice - Show or hide an alert message at the top of the page and edit the message content as needed.
- Page Properties - Update fields that support SEO and site navigation, such as page title, description and metadata.
- Page Content - Add new and modify content that is visible on the page, such as:
- Text blocks and headings
- Images and graphics
- Buttons and links
- Embedded media or custom components
You can also insert and delete components that were created and structured in the Content Editor.
