College entrance exams

People who want to become a teacher typically take a college entrance exam. Each program sets its own enrollment requirements and may not require an entrance exam. If they do, the school will use your test results as they help you prepare for a career in teaching.

Connecticut’s State Board of Education approves use of these tests:

  • ACT
  • GRE
  • Praxis
  • SAT
