The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 63 in Woodbridge and Bethany. The project consists of milling and resurfacing 5.76 miles of Route 63 in Woodbridge and Bethany. This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, June 9 through Tuesday, July 30, 2024. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, June 9 through Tuesday, June 25, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, July 8, 2024, through Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
No work will be performed from 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 3 until 10:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2024, due to the Independence Day Holiday.
This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 63 from North Pease Road Woodbridge to Litchfield Turnpike (SR703) in Bethany. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday night through Friday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
